Do I have to know how to draw or paint? No, we will show you how! Just relax and have a good time! Our teaching process breaks down the paintings step-by-step, so you go home with a really nice painting!
Is this class only for beginners? Some people, who have experience come to class with their friends, or just because they want to spend some time painting. If you are an experienced painter, take your painting where ever you want. Have fun with it and with the group.
Is there a minimum number of people needed to have a class? Yes, we need a minimum of 8 people to hold the class. Unfortunately, if there are less, we reserve the right to cancel. We will call you the day before the class to let you know. Maybe you’ll be able to recruit a friend to paint with you! If class is cancelled, we will issue you a refund or credit.
When are classes held? We generally have evening classes from 6:30-9:30 pm on weekdays and 7:00-10:00 pm on Friday and Saturday. Our doors open 30 minutes prior to the start of the class. Evening classes are geared toward adults. Check our calendar for all upcoming classes and register online.
Are there age requirements? Our teaching styles are tailored to be age-appropriate, our paintings are designed to be fun projects for individuals ages 14 and up. Evening classes often have a “girl’s night out” atmosphere and of course, you must be at least 21 years of age to bring and consume alcoholic beverages. You make the decision to bring someone under 18. Young people under 17 must be accompanied by a participating adult. “Family Days” are held once a month and anyone 8 and older are welcome to attend. Check the online calendar for dates and times.
Can I bring food or wine? On the evening of adult classes, you can bring wine or soft drinks, and any food items you like. We do not provide alcohol, food or drinks. We provide cups, plates, utensils and a corkscrew. State laws prohibit the consumption of hard liquor at a public establishment without a liquor license posted.
What time do I need to arrive for class? Please arrive 10-20 minutes prior to class so we can begin on time. Late arrivals will catch up or go back and finish what they missed during a break or at the end. We do not save seats unless you have a group of 6 or more and request it. So let us know ahead of time if you are part of a larger group!
Why do I have to pay when I make my reservation? Our classes accommodate 25 people. Without pre-payment, participants reserve a seat and fail to show up or cancel in time for us to allow others to join us. You have up to 48 hrs. before your class to change or cancel your reservation with no penalty. No refunds will be issued for cancellations less than 48 hours prior to class, but you can give your seat away. Cancelled reservations 48 hrs. out will receive a full refund or credit.
What forms of payment do you accept? Our online system allows us to accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover and PayPal.
Can I register by phone? It is preferable that reservations are made online, but if you are having difficulty we can take your reservation by phone. Same day reservation and availability check can be made by phone. We are happy to talk to you any time!
What is your cancellation policy? If you cancel the day before or the day of the class, or simply fail to show, you will be charged for the class because we will be unable to fill your spot at the last minute. As long as you cancel prior to 48 hrs. before the scheduled class time, you will be provided a full refund. Same cancellation policy applies to Private Parties. But private parties require a payment for a minimum of 10 people. Call us for more information if needed.
Do you offer Gift Certificates? YES! You may purchase them online. The cost is $35 each, good for ANY class. Gift Certificates do NOT expire and cannot be redeemed for cash. They are transferable.
How do private parties work? Private parties are generally the same price as the normal classes $35 for adults and $25 for children. A minimum of 10 participants (or $350 minimum) are required to book a private party. A deposit of $100 is required and will be applied to the total cost of your party. Do you offer regularly scheduled kid classes? Not currently, but we are working on adding them to our Asheville, NC location in 2017.
Do you offer Kid’s Birthday Parties? We are happy to host kid’s birthday parties at the Asheville location! The minimum cost is $300 and includes up to 10 kids. Add $20 per child for additional participants. We can also come to your location ($30 travel fee) and bring all of the supplies needed for a 1.5 or 2 hour class. We have several children’s paintings to choose from or we can create something new just for your group (no extra fee). Call us for more information!
